šŸ§  What ChatGPT Canā€”And Canā€™tā€”Do For Your Emotional Intelligence

If you’re like me, you’re always looking for new ways to make life and leadership more easeful, joyful, and impactful.

I’ve been dabbling with ChatGPT since January 2023, but recently I made the decision to go all in. I committed to exploring how generative AI can support not just my businessā€”but my whole life.

Letā€™s just sayā€¦ Iā€™ve gone down the rabbit hole. Deep. And yes, Iā€™m officially obsessed.

Hereā€™s what Iā€™ve discovered: ChatGPT (and other AI tools) can absolutely become a valuable part of your support system.

Below, Iā€™ll break down three ways you can program AI to act like an EQ Leadership Coachā€”plus where you still need a real-life coach (like me šŸ˜‰) to get the breakthroughs, healing, and transformation youā€™re after.

 

  1. Accountability

āœ… What ChatGPT Can Do:

  • Help you set goals that align with your bigger vision.
  • Break those goals into bite-sized actions that drive real progress.
  • Set reminders (even in your calendar!) to follow up on those goals later.

    Example: ā€œCheck in with me in 1 week on how Iā€™ve been doing with mindful eating at one meal per day. Remind me of the reward I promised myself if I follow through.ā€

āš ļø But Hereā€™s the Catch:

  • If you donā€™t log into the app, thereā€™s zero follow-through. No nudge. No check-in.
  • It’s much easier to confess a missed goal to an app than to a real human who believes in your potential.

That human-level accountabilityā€”the kind that lovingly holds your feet to the fireā€”thatā€™s where I come in.

 

  1. Blind Spots

āœ… What ChatGPT Can Do:

  • Help you recognize patterns, reframes, and subconscious beliefs that may be getting in your way.
  • Guide you through journaling prompts, somatic awareness, and mindset shifts.

    Example: I once asked, ā€œIā€™ve been struggling to implement my business strategyā€”can you help me explore any hidden limiting beliefs?ā€ It offered a thoughtful, step-by-step reflection process.

āš ļø But Hereā€™s the Catch:

  • If you havenā€™t developed much self-awareness yet, itā€™s hard to recognize your own patternsā€”even with AIā€™s help.
  • A human coach brings intuition, energy reading, and lived experience that no tool can replicate.

  1. Healing & Emotional Transformation

āœ… What ChatGPT Can Do:

  • Offer practices that support healing, like inner child journaling or visualization promptsā€”if you teach it how to respond through a solid emotional intelligence lens.

  • AI canā€™t witness your story with the human empathy it takes to truly heal.

So much of what holds us back stems from parts of ourselves that didnā€™t feel seen, heard, or safe growing up. True healing happens when those parts are witnessedā€”by you and by another safe, compassionate human.

That sacred moment? It canā€™t be downloaded.

 

Bottom line:

ChatGPT is an amazing tool. Use it. Play with it. Let it help you organize your goals and gently challenge your mindset.

But when it comes to healing, transformation, and emotionally intelligent leadership?

You need a human.

Preferably one who sees your brilliance and calls out your B.S. with love.
