This past Sunday, I had the chance to attend two events.
I really wanted to go to both. And technically—I could have made it work.
Quick change of clothes. Hustle across town. Squeeze it all in.
The old me would have done it without hesitation.
But this time, I made a different choice.
I said no.
Not because I didn’t want to be there… but because I knew the rushing would cost me more than it was worth.
I’ve learned that the simpler I make things, the more space I have.
🌀 Space for clarity.
🌀 For presence.
🌀 For noticing the tiny moments of joy that so easily get lost in the grind.
This isn’t an easy shift for me. I love life. I crave connection, meaning, adventure. I know how fast it’s all passing by.
But I’ve come to realize something big:
Filling every moment isn’t joy.
It’s just busyness with a prettier outfit.
So here’s your gentle reminder, in case you need it today—
You don’t have to say yes to everything.
Especially when your no is really a yes to peace, restoration, or presence.
What could open up for you this week if you chose space over hustle?
With love,
Your coach,
💜Sara
P.S. Remember—part of being an emotionally intelligent leader is learning to manage yourself first, so you can show up with clarity, consistency, and care for the people who count on you.
