How to Find Joy in Life’s Peaks and Valleys

I’m a joy seeker – when I remember to slow down and love this life, that is! I get excited about adventures big and small and look for the magic that’s in everyday moments. And, of course, I named my EQ training and coaching business, Joy Discovered.

Why joy?

The definition of joy is “the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune.”

I think it’s safe to say this is something you and I both want for our work + home lives. It’s a feeling all humans strive for.

Here’s one thing I know about joy: The level of joy we feel is directly related to the level of pain or hurt we have felt. We wouldn’t experience one without the other.

So when you are going through a hard phase of life (those valleys in between the peaks), and it feels like all you know is pain, remember that the experience is adding to your future feeling of joy that will be even greater and more delicious than the past.

It’s hard to remember this in these dark moments – believe me, I know. I’ve been there many times and have become a master at continuing on and through… and learning more about myself and the world in the process.

So today I’m here lighting the way for you, whether you are in a peak of joy or a valley of pain. I see you and I’ve got you.

To feeling great joy,

Your coach,
💜Sara
